Any Event With A F1 Show Car Will Bring Crowds

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010

To rent an actual Formula One Car is expensive, therefore if a F1 show car is displayed it could be a replica. An actual vehicle is engineered by computer geniuses. Most are single seat cars of the highest class. Most are designed and manufactured in Europe.

The real thing can race at three hundred sixty kilometers per hour or two hundred and twenty miles per hour. The engines have a rev rate of up to eighteen thousand revs per minute. It is more cost effective to rent a replica for an attraction at an event. Even the replicas create a lot of excitement and may bring huge crowds to any event whether it is for a non-profit, company conference or a product launch or even a sale at a mall. Customization of the vehicles is available. There are options of inexpensive labeling up to custom paint jobs with logos, advertisements or anything an entity would want.

In London England there is a Formula One auto race every other weekend at various locations. These events usually last approximately ninety minutes. To ship these cars is a very large expense and shipping teams must have packing down to an art to insure safe delivery. As soon as the race is over the cars need to be prepared for shipping to a new location. The world’s fascination with fast cars has made this industry a multi-billion-dollar affair.

The replica cars are actually designed by F1 teams and some have been used for racing or possibly testing. They can be shipped to anywhere in the world and rented for short or long terms. They can also be purchased.

If a company wants their logo or advertisement on the vehicle, it is an option. The replicas can be as detailed as a customer wishes and can have carbon fiber suspension, floor pans and chassis. The suspension is also available in steel. It can come with or without a seat and steering wheel, wing designs, wheel hubs and many other options. Some are drivable some are not, depending on how much a customer wants to spend.

Another fantastic piece of equipment that can be rented is a F1 simulator. People can actually play to get that feeling of actually racing one of these awesome cars. Some come with the option of being able to accommodate three people at the same time.

G-forces are part of the simulation to get that real feel of driving. Simulators are already available at theme and amusement parks in many parts of the world. Some are made to the exact specifications of the cockpit so the simulated race is like driving a real F1 show car.

Especially if you would like to attract a lot of people or make the event extraordinary and add some glamour to it. For, while the simulator can be a fun toy at home, it can also be a paycheck for those involved in selling such models. Push yourself against the clock or against another team. hire f1 show cars

Study Your Options Before Joining A Movie Download Service

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010

Going for movie downloads is a more convenient way of enjoying blockbusters nowadays. Because of the internet, now you got other means of getting titles aside from renting or purchasing DVD copies. Through this, you need not step out of the house and drive elsewhere. But before signing up for a site providing this convenience, there are some thing you need to take note of.

First, find out if the payment mode will work for the kind of movie viewer you are. One site may have a completely different payment term than the other. But it’s also possible for one site to carry a variety of payment terms. When deciding, the rates you will pay for need to be justified by the amount of movies you can actually afford to watch.

There are websites that will ask from you either a monthly or yearly payment upon signing in. But there are also those where payment is done only when you download a title. When deciding whether or not you should subscribe to movie downloading, consider the ups and downs. Think whether you will be able to save money through this mode, or actually spend more.

You might also want to check a site’s selection of titles. The number of movies a site has depends on how many film studios it has an agreement with. Lucky you if the site you’re eyeing is in agreement with several different major studios. It means that you have plenty of mainstream titles to choose from and enjoy.

Check the quality of the available titles. This is to ensure that you will have an enjoyable experience watching a blockbuster, and not end up with a headache. Consider the movie’s screen resolution. A resolution is the size of the picture in terms of pixels. One example is 640×480 pixels. Another is 1280×1024 pixels.

Second, consider the bitrate. A movie’s bitrate can be expressed in either bps (bits per second) or kbps (kilobits per second). If this is beginning to sound like it’s some techie stuff, it can be simplified. As a general rule of thumb, the bigger the numbers you see, the better picture quality you have. So check if the resolutions and bitrates carry big numbers.

A way to tell whether a download site is good or bad is by looking at the number of memberships. While it may not give a clear-cut evaluation, it is a good place to start. There must be a reason why a particular site is popular, thus it has more subscribers. Maybe the members are satisfied with the site’s good service.

When it comes to the download security, you should be vigilant about it. Make sure that the site is a safe environment to download your titles from. Having stuff like adwares or viruses with what you buy can spell disaster to your PC’s hard drive. And the mode of payment, through credit card or online banking, should be guaranteed secure as well.

Finally, check the site’s terms of use about your movie downloads. Some sites can be very flexible with your purchase. You can transfer and play your titles on different gadgets, like another PC, or a portable media player. Others also enable you to burn movies onto DVDs and other popular media. But still there are sites which do not provide such flexibility at all.

Chaos ensues, and the rat clan, which had been residing in the attic, is forced to evacuate into the sewers. Download Movies From Internet The $11 Billion Industry Karaoke is a growing past time and if you haven’t tried it you really should.

Packers Have No Problem With Woeful Browns

Tuesday, August 24th, 2010

The Green Bay Packers used 21 second quarter points and three Aaron Rodgers touchdown passes to easily dispatch the punchless Cleveland Browns 31-3 on Sunday. Rodgers threw two of his three touchdowns during the second quarter onslaught, adding a fourth quarter tally for good measure. Ryan Grant added–8 yards of rushing and a touchdown in the victory, in which the Packers dominated the statistical battle. Green Bay improved their 2009 NFL record to 4-2, while Cleveland slumped to 1-6.

NFL football betting enthusiasts who laid the -8′ with Green Bay as road favorites cashed their tickets with the lopsided victory. Green Bay improved to 4-2 against the NFL pointspread while the Browns dropped to 3-4 against the number. The 34 points scored went UNDER the posted total of 41′. Cleveland has gone UNDER in four of seven this season, while Green Bay evened their NFL totals record at 3-3.

The Packers upped their intensity early in the game, after quarterback Aaron Rodgers was punched in the face during a scrum. He recounts what happened next:

“One of the linemen came over and said, ‘Who was it? We got your back. That means a lot to me and that means a lot to our team.”

David Bowens was the perpetrator, though he insisted he was simply playing hard:

“I was just trying to grab anything I had. It wasn’t malicious, I was just trying to get a stop. I apologized to him for it. He can call it what he wants to call it, but the refs didn’t call it. I’d treat him different if he was passing the ball, that’s different. But if he’s running the ball, he’s a running back. It’s called football.”

Browns’ quarterback Derek Anderson lamented his team’s struggles in postgame comments:

“We aren’t good right now. That’s it. Period. We haven’t executed. We haven’t done the right things to win ballgames. We haven’t run the ball effectively, thrown it where we needed to. We haven’t protected up front like we need to and caught it when we need to.”

Head coach Eric Mangini sounded a similar tone:

“It’s a very disappointing performance across the board. I don’t think we played very well. I don’t think we coached very well. I thought we were making progress in a lot of areas. I don’t think we showed that today — at all.”

The Packers now face a big game next Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings which will feature Brett Favre’s first return to Green Bay in a visiting uniform. The Packers are a -3 home favorite with the total set at 48. They’ll face the struggling Tampa Bay Buccaneers the following week before hosting the Dallas Cowboys on November 15. Cleveland will travel to Chicago for a game against the Bears next week, with the Browns installed as a +13′ road underdog and the total set at 40′ Cleveland will have a bye the following week before returning to action at home against Baltimore on Monday, November 16.

Toronto Drops Another Home Game, This Time To Calgary

Tuesday, August 24th, 2010

Judy Garland famously said in her role as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz that theres no place like home. The Toronto Argonauts would likely take issue with that sentiment. On Friday night, the Argos lost a close one to the Calgary Stampeders at the Rogers Centre by a final score of 23-20. The loss extended the Argos franchise record home losing streak to ten consecutive games.

Calgary hasnt done well in Toronto in recent years, having lost eight of their last ten heading into this contest. For that reason, Henry Burris was happy with the victory despite the Argos recent struggles on their own field:

“Rogers Centre has never been a fun place for us to play. We’ve had some tough games here against some hard-hitting Argos teams. This team has been through a lot and with the belief we have in one another, we were able to fight back and respond when it really counted.”

Toronto could have tied the game, but Argos coach Bart Andrus kept the offense on the field for a last ditch effort to score a touchdown rather than go for the tie.

Placekicker Justin Medlock had missed a 57 yard kick earlier this season”his only miss of the year. Andrus is already hearing some criticism of this decision, and he addressed it after the game:

“I’ll take the heat on the call to not kick the field goal. The distance bothered me. That was my worry. The 57-yarder against Winnipeg came with the roof open. I just wasn’t comfortable with it.”

Medlock all but second guessed his coach, saying he wanted to take a shot at the tie:

“I definitely thought I could’ve made it but never got the chance. Maybe I should’ve run on to the field. I hit the crossbar in practice from 60 yards out.”

After the contest, Stamps coach/GM John Hufnagel indicated his pleasure with his teams effort:

“If it was going to be a close game I wanted our defence on the field at the end to protect the lead and that’s what happened. I think it’s really a big step for this football team. I’m very pleased with the defence, I’m very pleased with the offence in the second half when they had to answer points . . . we got the momentum back each and every time.”

Next up for the Stampeders is a home and home series with their provincial rivals, the Edmonton Eskimos. Toronto and Hamilton will also play a pair of games against each other, with the first game of the set at Hamilton and the rematch back at the Rogers Centre in Toronto.

Belfort Knocks Out Franklin In UFC 103 Main Event

Tuesday, August 24th, 2010

Vitor Belfort made his first appearance in the UFCs iconic octagon in five years, headlining the main event of UFC 103 in Dallas, Texas. Just over three minutes later, he had already become a top contender. Belfort dominated veteran Rich Franklin en route to a devastating knockout victory just past the midway point of the first round.

The fight against Franklin was contested at a catchweight of 195 pounds, and Belfort took several tries to finally make weight on Friday afternoon. The pace of the bout was tactical and deliberate until the very end–Belfort landed a few leg kicks, but for the most part it was several minutes of the fighters circling each other. Belfort was clearly measuring Franklin for a big power shot, and he found it after a brief flurry in which neither man gained an advantage. Out of nowhere, Belfort floored Franklin with a nasty uppercut and quickly mounted a ground and pound assault on his fallen adversary. It only took three or four big shots to Franklins head before the referee jumped in to stop the fight.

At the post fight press conference, Dana White quickly endorsed the prospect of a matchup between Belfort and UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva”either for the title or at a’5 catchweight. Silva has only three fights remaining on his UFC contract, after which hes insisted that hell retire (although he continues to toy with the idea of boxing against Roy Jones, Jr.). Obviously nothing has been signed, but White clearly wants to get his moneys worth out of the fights remaining on Silvas deal.

A changing of the guard was in evidence in the co-main event, as Junior Dos Santos defeated former PRIDE Open Weight GP champion and MMA legend Mirko Cro Cop by verbal submission. Cro Cop appeared to be moving much better on his surgically repaired knee than in recent fights, though he still demonstrated an overreliance on his counterpunching. Still, through the early part of the fight he was doing well with his straight left hand counter. As the fight wore on, however, Dos Santos began to pick Cro Cop apart and in the third round began to use his Muay Thai knee strikes to good effect. It was a knee strike to Cro Cops head followed by an uppercut that ended the fight”Cro Cop suddenly indicated to the referee that he couldnt see and was unable to continue. Ironically, he may have suffered a broken eye socket similar to the one he famously inflicted on Bob Sapp in a 2003 K-1 bout.

Earlier in the card, Paul Daley made the most of his role as a late substitute for injured Mike Swick as he stopped Martin Kampmann by second round TKO. Kampmann complained of an early stoppage, but Daley gave him trouble throughout with his sharp strikes and fast hands. The end came after a brutal left hook knocked Kampmann to the canvas, after which Daley followed up with some ground and pound until the stoppage.

The Story Of 1977 Triple Crown Winner Seattle Slew

Tuesday, August 24th, 2010

Seattle Slew, horse racing’s lone remaining living Triple Crown winner, passed away on May 7, 2002 at the age of 28. Already ranked among the all time greats by virtue of this accomplishment alone, Slew is even more notable as the only Triple Crown winner to go undefeated as a three year hold. He came from humble beginnings, bought at public auction–the only Triple Crown winner to be acquired in this manner. After retiring to stud in’78 he remained a very profitable horse based on a stud fee of $300,000. His offspring earned over $76 million dollars at the race track and include over 100 stakes race winners including’84 Kentucky Derby champion Swale.

The Seattle Slew story began very modestly at a public auction in Lexington, Kentucky. The Keeneland Summer Yearling sale wasn’t supposed to be the marketplace of champions, and the idea that this particular horse would ever amount to anything other than a farmhand was downright laughable. Slew looked clumsy, due primarily to a right forefoot that splayed outward and resulting in a shuffling gait at a trot. He also wasn’t a majestic beast like his predecessor by a few years, Secretariat. Slew was borderline ugly. So ungainly a creature was he that he was given the less than inspiring nickname “Baby Huey” by the Keeneland staff. He was purchased by two couples (Karen and Mickey Taylor and Jim and Sally Hill) for $17,500. What wasn’t apparent at the yearling sale was the intangibles that make up a championship thoroughbred–poise under pressure, love of competition, toughness, heart and desire. The Taylor’s and Hill’s had stumbled onto an equine Tiger Woods or Michael Jordan who’s competitive fire quickly became apparent to the trainers that worked with him and the jockeys that rode him. His first race came at Belmont in’76, and the three races he entered–and won–as a 2 year old gave a hint of what was to come.

As a three year old, he quickly gained notice by winning his three Derby prep races, including the prestigious Wood Memorial. In the Derby, Slew got off to a terrible start as he stumbled from the gate much like War Emblem did in the 2002 Belmont. Unlike 2002’s Triple Crown contender, however, Slew was able to recover from that miscue and basically force his way through a pack of other horses to position himself at the front of the field at the quarter mile pole. He went on to win the Derby by a length and 3 quarters. Another tough victory in the Preakness set up his Triple Crown winning run at the Belmont, which he won by 4 lengths.

Slew continued to campaign as a four year old, but in the days before the Breeder’s Cup there weren’t many opportunities for an older horse. He retired to stud in’78, where he sired champions such as the aforementioned Swale and’92 Belmont Champ AP Indy. Slew stood at Three Chimneys Farm in Midway, Kentucky from’85 until early 2002 when he was moved to Hill ‘n’ Dale Farm in Lexington, KY following a spinal operation.

Slew was in someways overshadowed during his prime by his predecessor–and arguably the greatest thoroughbred race horse in history–1973 Triple Crown winner Secretariat. In hindsight, however, it has finally been noted what an exceptional horse he really was. Jockey Angel Cordero, who rode Slew during the twilight of his career noted “If I had a chance to take any horse in the world, if someone said your life is depending on riding one horse to win, I would take (Slew). I rode 44,000 horses, but he was special, he was different. He was muscled, like a wrestler. He ran different than any other horse. It was like he came from another planet.”

Following his death in 2002, Slew was laid to rest at Hill ‘n’ Dale Farm in Kentucky under a statue memorializing his legacy.

Use The Fastest Way To Download Movies

Monday, August 23rd, 2010

Want to download movies on your computer? What are your options? The first thing that comes to mind is to pop in the DVD into your DVD drive? But if you only have a CD drive that doesn’t play movies, this is not an option. This is fairly uncommon in newer computers, but certainly older computers may have this problem.

There are all kinds of options at your fingertips for watching movies via the small screen. Some choices are legal and some are illegal but you will have to be the judge as to what is best for you. Normally, all that you need to watch these movies is software that comes pre-installed upon purchase of the computer, as in trial movie software versions.

There are of course, the illegal options where you can download full-length movies from user-fed sites. Obviously, there are many drawbacks with this option that can both get you in trouble and your computer if you download a virus by mistake. But in the spirit of completeness, this is an option that is out there and can be found with some research on your part. In order to use these sites, you must often agree to a list of warnings that this material is not produced or acquired by the site owners, nor will they be responsible for it.

In today’s changing markets, companies are changing the way they offer services. Blockbuster has updated with the times and begun to offer Internet and express mail movie subscriptions. By subscribing to their service, you are assigned the movie for a pre-arranged amount of time, and you don’t have to be concerned with possibly crashing your drives after receiving a virus by mistake.

Netflix, for instance, started out online and is continuing to grow. By allowing their subscribers to download shows directly onto their computers or TVs, it gives the most access for the best price. Customers are also allowed to keep the movies for as long as they wish, with the only restriction being how many movies they can have at one time.

If you would rather avoid downloading anything to your computer, you can also stream movies online. Most of the time, a video player is all that is needed, like Windows Media Player. Certainly, there are better versions of movie software out there and depending on your objective, may be more desirable to play your movies back with.

These movies may or may not be pirated, but even if they are, they are usually not discovered until after they have been viewed a time or two. The benefit of using a site like this is that no downloads are required. Streaming a movie is just letting it play on the net while you access it with your video player.

If I were going to choose one, I would no doubt subscribe to a reputable company like Netflix. With all their customer service options and access features, they are a great choice. By using their subscriber movies, it also removes the threat of contamination by virus. Many times, they sent out customer appreciation gifts that reward loyal customers as well.

At the end of the day these sites have full permission from the production companies who make the films, and therefore you can feel completely sure that what you are doing is absolutely legal and safe for your computer. The trick to avoiding any of the illegal sites is to make sure that you do all of the necessary research in order to sort out the good from the bad sites.

The Die Hard Collection Reviewed

Sunday, August 22nd, 2010

Die Hard movies pretty much set the bar for action movies in the nineties. They are over the top, based almost entirely on the action, and aren’t meant to be taken too seriously. But with the advent of the newest movie, it is easy to see that their time has passed. John McClain is probably ready to be retired.

The first movie pits our hero against a group of charming bad guys, lead by the lovable Alan Rickman, who was the perfect example of an evil baddie that people love to see get thrown out of a building. John has to fight against this group on his own because none of the cops in the area believe that there is really a problem at the building. The great thing is that John is trying to get help, he isn’t just some crazy vigilante trying to do everything on his own. Eventually he does have to do it all on his own, but his success is mostly due to luck and his ability to keep going after getting his butt kicked.

The second movie takes place in and around an airport. It gets a little silly, as John again just happens to be there and the bad guys have a plan that is evil yet probably not as well thought out as it could have been. In the end it is foiled by a single man on a runway with a torch.

The third movie takes place in New York. All of New York. The movies have expanded with each one, and now he is in the middle of a cunning plan to steal a lot of gold. He isn’t looking for help as much this time, but that is largely because there isn’t anyone around that can help, save for a sassy Samuel Jackson.

But the forth movie ends up having an entire nation at siege. And it doesn’t make a lot of sense how that happens. What makes less sense is that this cop from New York suddenly seems to have super powers. Yes, he seemed nearly indestructible in the first three movies, but now he is able to jump out of a moving car that he has just turned into a rocket to destroy a helicopter and get up and walk away.

These types of movies work better when they are done on a bit smaller scale. They need to be done smaller. This isn’t a super hero we are dealing with, this is an aging cop. John can’t do everything, and the audience should know this. Regardless of how much people want to root for him, it is hard when he has become some sort of superman instead of just being a tough New York cop.

This is a great franchise, but it was a product of its time. Films have grown too much since the first one was made. Action movies are a lot bigger these days, thanks to the bigger budgets and the advent of better special effects. Die Hard movies were big action movies for their time, but their time has passed.

Die Hard is a great franchise. If it ends now, then it will always be remembered that way. But as filmmaking keeps getting bigger and bigger, it is going to turn into a movie that is about John McClain taking on an entire country while flying through the air on a jet pack. And it will be in 3d. There is just no need for that.

Free internet TV is a program which allows you to watch TV shows on internet. Movies On Line Young and wealthy, Ben-Hur enjoys the finer aspects of life in the era of Pax Romana. Later seasons would become darker and more oriented to older ones and teenagers.

A Short Review Of Tetsuo The Iron Man

Sunday, August 22nd, 2010

Tetsuo Iron Man was the debut film from Japanese madman director Shinya Tsukamoto. Even if you don’t like reading subtitles, put it on your queue next time you log into your movie download service anyways. It’s NOT that kind of foreign film. It’s practically a silent film, because it’s really just all action, special effects and weirdness, with very little dialog.

The movie follows a typical Japanese salary man who, for no reason at all, starts to sprout pieces of scrap metal from his body. It starts when he’s shaving and pieces of… Aluminum cans or something start growing from his face. It’s very strange. Eventually, he grows into a living, breathing heap of junk metal, and it winds up being a great example of Cronenberg’s body horror genre.

The concept behind the movie was to make something like a monster film with a human sized badguy. The end result is sort of the Japanese answer to both David Cronenberg, and David Lynch’s Eraserhead. It’s definitely a strange journey full of unforgettable images, for better or for worse. The movie might be right up your alley, or it may leaving you simply scratching your head, but it’s not an experience you’ll forget any time soon.

The movie really helped to define Japanese cyberpunk. There had been earlier efforts in the genre such as Burst City, but this one was the one that really defined the genre as being about industrialism and the Frankenstein-esque relations between man and machine. Where American cyberpunk tends to focus on the computer age, Japanese cyberpunk is more about antiquated machinery and post WWII fear.

The movie is incredibly fast paced, and it’s even a little confusing, but that’s sort of the point. The movie also has a great look to it, with stark, high contrast black and white really driving home the nightmarish atmosphere of the film’s setting. It really results in a strange look and a strange feel. The movie feels much more like a bad dream than it does like events happening in real life.

Besides Eraserhead, the movie also draws a lot of inspiration from Cronenberg’s Videodrome, starring James Woods. It uses some of the same recurring images of flickering television sets and grotesque horror sights. So, a warning, if that movie made you squeamish, this one will, too.

Tsukamoto has since created some of the greatest films to come out of Japan in the last few decades. In particular, Tokyo Fist is a real classic, and one of the greatest films ever made on the subject of the male ego and what can happen when a conflict is allowed to snowball with neither side backing down. It’s really a great, deep look at what it means to be a man.

Tsukamoto has also developed into an interesting actor, mainly taking small parts in films by Takashi Miike, who has a similarly strange approach to filmmaking. Tsukamoto’s career is definitely one to keep tabs on, as it’s clear that, two decades after his debut, he’s just getting started and still has plenty more surprises up his sleeves.

BC Lions Try To Salvage Season With CFL Win Over Saskatchewan

Saturday, August 21st, 2010

The BC Lions may have turned the corner after a disappointing 1-4 start to the CFL season. This past weekend, a clearly motivated Lions team defeated the Saskatchewan Roughriders 35-20 to improve to 2-4 in CFL play. The Lions first two losses were closely contested affairs, but the previous two had been fairly one sided. The Roughriders dropped to 3-3 in the early going in the CFL season.

Lions defensive end Brent Johnson said that the motivation for this game was simple:

“We were sick of losing. That was our only option – to win tonight. This was the must wins of must wins.”

Johnson led a tenacious Lions defense with three QB sacks. Overall, the BC stop unit combined for five QB sacks and three interceptions in their best performance of the CFL season.

Lions running back Martell Mallett caught one touchdown pass, ran for another and generally made himself a problem for the Riders defense all night. After the game, he credited the play of his offensive line:

“We just went out there and executed. The offensive line blocked well. I was just hitting the holes. They opened it for me and I got in it.”

BC starting QB Buck Pierce had been hearing some criticism from the Vancouver media suggesting that he lose his starting spot. His solid play in the victory may have turned down the heat for now. After the game, he spoke of the team effort in the win:

“I was very proud of our offence tonight. “The way we stayed poised, the way we moved the ball. Running and throwing the ball, we were very good.”

Saskatchewan quarterback Darian Durrant blamed the loss on his teams lack of execution and failure to capitalize on opportunities:

“It was frustrating. B.C. gave us plenty of opportunities to put more points on the board. We just didn’t capitalize.”

Despite the satisfying victory, Lions coach Wally Buono realizes that his team still has plenty of work to do:

“We have to play much better football than what we did. I saw the intensity that you need, I see the resilience and I saw some guys make some plays.”

BC now heads to Toronto to play the struggling Argonauts on Thursday. Saskatchewan will host the Hamilton Tiger Cats.

Great Movie Downloads Sites To Use

Saturday, August 21st, 2010

Going to the video store to rent the latest movie was slowly being phased out once pay per view was brought into the home.
